Restore Your Self-Confidence Today
It’s really challenging to live with tooth loss — eating and speaking become difficult and your missing teeth can be a constant source of embarrassment and discomfort. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Our natural-looking Mission Valley dental implants are a healthy and effective solution that can restore any number of missing teeth. Best of all, we provide dental implants as part of a comprehensive treatment plan that’s designed just for you. That way, we’ll maximize your comfort, longevity, and all the other benefits you receive with dental implants.
Implant-Secured Bridges
Dental implants near you are attractive prosthetic teeth that fill the gaps in your smile caused by missing teeth. The implant creates a secure bond with your jawbone through a process called osseointegration.
We can also combine dental implants with additional types of treatment. For example, if you’re missing two or more teeth that are adjacent to one another, Dr. Cassell might recommend an implant-supported dental bridge.
An implant-supported bridge is anchored in place using two or more dental implants. In addition to protecting your natural teeth, an implant-supported bridge will also stimulate essential jawbone growth. An attractive implant-supported bridge is a healthy, comfortable, and convenient way to fix your smile.
The Dental Implant Process
Dental implants are a remarkable treatment for patients who want a healthy, stable restoration. In some cases, patients who are good candidates for dental implants require supplemental treatment to fully prepare their smile for the dental implants process.
Bone grafting and treatment for gum disease are two common supplemental treatments that allow patients to qualify for dental implants.
We can usually complete the dental implant process in as little as three appointments.
Your Consultation
No matter the situation, restoring your smile with dental implants near you begins when you visit Dr. Cassell for a consultation. During your visit, he’ll examine your mouth, ask you some questions about your medical and dental history, and describe your available treatment options.
At this time, he’ll also tell you if you’re ready to start the implant process, or if you’ll require any supplemental procedures before you begin.
Implant Placement
After Dr. Cassel clears you for treatment, he’ll surgically place the implant fixture, the part of the implant that secures it to your jawbone. First, he’ll make a small incision in the gums to expose the bone. Using our advanced diagnostic and imaging equipment, he’ll place the implant fixture in the most advantageous location.
Your Final Restoration
The implant fixture will require some time to bond to your jawbone — this can take up to six months. Then you’ll return to our office where Dr. Cassell will attach your permanent crown. We custom-design your porcelain crown to match the shape, size, and color of your smile, so you’ll be ready to show it to your friends and family as soon as you leave our office.
Caring for Your Mission Valley Dental Implant
Our patients really appreciate how easy it is to care for their dental implants. Just remember to brush twice a day, floss daily, and visit Dr. Cassell for checkups twice a year.
Unlike dentures, you won’t need special cleaning products for your implants and you’ll never have to remove them for cleaning because they’re a permanent part of your smile.
